South City Catholic Academy hosted the World Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis on Monday, January 27, 2020. The presenters from the organization shared the purpose and mission of the World Bird Sanctuary which is to preserve, protect and inspire the many diverse species of birds while also keeping them safe. During their visit they showed the children falcons, owls and vultures. The students were amazed and excited to watch a bald eagle fly. Our presenters encouraged the school community to visit the sanctuary and tour the on-site facilities in order to learn even more about the past inhabitants and meet the current residents of the World Bird Sanctuary. The students and teachers were impressed and captivated by the hour-long visit.
